They each donated $30 that was used for the 1979 International Armbrust Union (IAU) dues.



August 2, 1980, Camp Perry, Ohio
Members present: David Kimes, Bruce Meredith, Dick Neill, Thurston Banks, David Cramer, Robert Bach, James Meredith and guest Gil Frey from The National Crossbowmen.

Election of Officers for terms ending December 31, 1981:
President - David Kimes
Vice President - Bruce Meredith

Treasurer - Thurston Banks
Chief Instructor - James Meredith
Executive Director - David Cramer

David Kimes will work with Larry Katz to explore setting up a tax-deductible travel fund and also incorporation. It was decided to take out club membership with the NRA to take advantage of NRA Liability Insurance. Bruce Meredith took orders for crossbow carrying cases. The Women's 10 meter Team will be selected by previous air rifle scores before May 1, 1981. USAA members only. The Men's 10 meter Team will be selected by qualifying scores shot at Fort Benning, California and Pennsylvania by February 1, 1981. USAA members only. The Men's 30 meter Team will be selected by scores shot in various locations by February 1, 1981. USAA members only. It was also decided to ask NRA for the use of a building on Commercial Row for the 10m Armbrust demonstration range.



July 15, 1981, Arosa, Switzerland

Election of Officers for two year terms beginning January 1, 1982:

National Junior's Coordinator - Theresa Leone

It was voted to limit membership and participation in USAA match crossbow competition to persons 15 years old and older. David Kimes, Bill Boyle and Bruce Meredith are to work on hosting a Continental Championships. Dick Neill reported that he had paid the 150 Sfr. for IAU dues and $150 for the NRA Club Insurance.



July 29, 1981, Camp Perry, Ohio
Members present: Bruce Meredith, Dick Neill, Thurston Banks, David Cramer, Robert Bach, James Meredith, Ray Carter, Ethel-Ann Alves.

It was decided that no expenses would be paid without the approval of the Board of Directors. A Tryout Committee of James Meredith, Ray Carter and David Kimes was appointed to draw up rules governing the tryouts for the 1983 World Match Crossbow Championships in Bad Homburg, Germany. Bruce Meredith and Dick Neill will check on availability and cost of 30 meter paper targets.



July 24, 1982, Camp Perry, Ohio
Members present: Bruce Meredith, Dick Neill, Thurston Banks, Robert Bach, James Meredith, Ethel-Ann Alves, Theresa Leone, Dan Morse, Lori Baskin, Joyce Laubenheimer, Troy Baker..

It was voted to delete the 15 year age limit as a prerequisite to be a member and compete. The range officer will decide if the person can physically and safely handle the equipment. It was voted that National Records be recognized from scores shot in IAU World Championships and Continental Championships. It was voted to have scores shot in the IAU World Championships in Linz and Arosa retroactively accepted for USA National Records.

It was voted to establish the US Distinguished Crossbow Award that would go to any individual medal winner, team medal winner, or to any US team member who finished in the top 50% of the final individual competitors in the match. It would be retroactive to the 1st IAU World Match Crossbow Championships in Linz, Austria in 1979.  Glenn Dubis was to appoint a Tryout Committee.  It was voted to purchase a Hobby Tell crossbow for Camp Perry use.



June 21, 1984, Riverside, CA.
Members present: David Kimes, James Meredith, Glenn Dubis, Joyce Laubenheimer, Dan Morse and 'numerous others'.

The Camp Perry promotional event was discussed and job assignments made. Targets for the Preliminary Tryouts for 10M and 30M must be submitted by October 29, 1984. Final Tryout dates will be January 22, 1985. Glenn Dubis will be in charge of sending out the official targets. The Scoring Jury will be Joyce Laubenheimer, James Meredith and Glenn Dubis. The Preliminary Tryouts will consist of two courses of fire and counting both. The Final Tryouts will consist of three courses of fire and counting the highest two. It was acknowledged how valuable Dick Neill has been to the organization and how his continued support is greatly appreciated.

It was voted to allow the Executive Committee to determine the tryout procedure for the next IAU World Championship in Rohrbach, Austria. It was voted to follow the rules of the IAU concerning malfunctions, etc. It was voted to have the program (as drafted by the Executive Committee) mailed to each USAA member prior to final approval so all could review it. it was voted that the USAA help form a federation of USA crossbow shooters (Match, Field, Hunters) called the 'United States Crossbow Federation'.

David Cramer was appointed by the IAU to the IAU Technical Committee. Bruce Meredith replaced David Kimes as IAU Vice President - North America. Dick Neill appointed Nancy Eaton, Dan Morse and Rolfe Smith to the Incorporation Committee.



October 8, 1988, Elmer, NJ

Bruce Meredith had resigned as President as he was going to compete for the U.S. Virgin Islands in smallbore rifle and 30 meter match crossbow. Len Remaly moved up to President and Troy Baker was elected as Vice President. The founding members of the USAA (Bruce Meredith, David Kimes and Richard Neill) will be non-voting members of the Board of Directors. The USAA will be incorporating in Massachusetts and Nancy Eaton will be the Registered Agent.
